National CareGiving Conference 2017
Just spent a terrific two days in Chicago surrounded by caregivers, people who support caregivers, and companies that make caregiving easier at the National Caregiving Conference. I heard many heart wrenching and heart warming stories about caring for seniors, children, and spouses with a variety of issues including cancer, dementia, and stroke.
The Alium booth was positioned right outside the main conference hall. I was fortunate to speak to many passersby who commented on the comfort and style of the garments and offered helpful design suggestions from their own caregiving experiences.
The highlight to my visit was being featured in the 2nd Annual Adaptive Clothing Fashion Show. Jenn Chan, Certified Senior Advisor and founder of Senior Shower Project was my spunky model who did an excellent job showcasing the Zip Front Pants and Wrap Sweater. Thanks, Jenn!
While I might have belted the Nightgown in other public settings, I was certainly comfortable while I sauntered across the stage and told the audience about the inspiration to found Alium Adaptive.
For those of you caregivers out there: I highly recommend getting involved with caregiving.com-- they are a wealth of knowledge and support.
